Tulare County 2021 Advisory Commission on Supervisorial Redistricting Working Meetings Scheduled for all 5 Districts
Every ten years, Tulare County uses new Census data to review its supervisorial district lines so that each district is substantially equal in population. The United States Census Bureau will release initial redistricting data to the State in August 2021, and the State will release a modified dataset to counties in September 2021. After receiving the data, Tulare County has until December 15, 2021, to complete the redistricting process.
Starting on September 23, the Tulare County Advisory Commission on Supervisorial Redistricting, will be holding Working Meetings, scheduled below, in each of the five county supervisorial districts. During these meetings, the Commission will be considering boundary changes to the current supervisorial districts based on the 2020 Census data.
Community members are encouraged to participate in these working meetings by attending in person, via Zoom, or listening to the live stream on You Tube. Public comments at these meetings may be made in person, via Zoom, or in writing. Communityproposed maps may also be submitted for consideration via the Tulare County Redistricting software, by email, or in writing.
